Gutter repair
Gutter repair in Tulsa
A corner dripping on the walk, a run that sags after the ice, a downspout the hail flattened, or a whole section hanging off the fascia. Most Tulsa gutter problems are a $150–$600 repair, not a replacement, and we tell you which before you spend anything.
The repairs we do most in Tulsa
Leaking corners and end caps. The mitered corner is where nearly every gutter leaks first. Sealant dries out after eight to twelve Tulsa summers, the joint opens a hair, and the corner drips onto the porch or the AC pad. We clean the joint back to bare metal, reseal it with a polyurethane sealant that stays flexible through a 100-degree August and a 10-degree January, and replace the corner piece if the miter itself has corroded. This is the gutter leak repair Tulsa homeowners call about most, and it usually costs $150–$250.
Sagging runs. Old spike-and-ferrule hangers back out of the fascia over time. Ice speeds it up: a gutter full of frozen water and pecan leaves can weigh 30 pounds per running foot, and the spikes simply pull. The middle of the run drops, water pools there, and it gets heavier. Sagging gutter repair Tulsa-wide is the same job every time — re-hang on hidden screw hangers every 24 inches, or 18 inches on runs that carry a lot of roof, and reset the pitch so water reaches the downspout.
Crushed, flattened or disconnected downspouts. Hail flattens the exposed face of a downspout; mowers and trailers crush the bottom section; elbows separate when the strap rusts through. A blocked downspout backs up the whole run. Downspout repair Tulsa crews do should include upsizing to 3x4 while the old one is off, which roughly doubles capacity for about $40 more per downspout.
Sections pulled off in wind or ice. Straight-line wind gets under a gutter that was already loose and peels it back. If the section is straight we re-hang it; if it is kinked we replace that run and match the profile and color to the rest. After a hailstorm we photograph first and repair second, so the claim is documented. Hail work has its own page: hail and storm damage gutter repair.
Rotted fascia. The one nobody sees from the ground. A gutter that has overflowed at the same corner for five years has soaked the board behind it, and no hanger will hold in soft wood. We cut out the rot back to sound lumber, check the rafter tails, install primed lumber or PVC trim, and re-hang. Fascia and soffit repair Tulsa homes need is nearly always found under a corner that has been dripping for years, and it goes on the estimate per foot.
Repair or replace
The rule we use: aluminum, under about 20 years old, problems in one or two places — repair it. Sectional gutters with a seam every 10 feet, steel with rust showing through the paint, or more than a third of the runs needing work — replace, because patching adds up to a new system without the warranty. We wrote the whole decision out with Tulsa prices in repair vs. replacement, and the installation page covers what a replacement includes.
What a repair visit looks like
- Every run checked from a ladder, not the driveway, with a screwdriver in the fascia at the corners and under the downspouts.
- A look at where every downspout drains. If it dumps at the foundation we recommend extensions on the spot; they are cheap and they are the best thing you can do for a slab on Tulsa clay.
- A written price. Repairs under about $400 are usually done while we are there if you say yes.
- A hose through the repaired run before we leave.
If you want to narrow it down first, how to find a gutter leak walks through the hose test, and why gutters overflow in Tulsa rain covers overflow that is not a leak at all.
What repair does not fix
A 5-inch gutter with one 2x3 downspout on a 55-foot run will go over the lip in a Tulsa thunderstorm no matter how well it is sealed. That is a capacity problem. The honest fix is a second downspout, a 3x4 upgrade, or a 6-inch run on the side that collects the most roof. We will tell you when you are about to pay to reseal a gutter that was never going to keep up.
Neighborhoods we repair gutters in
Midtown — Brookside, Florence Park, Ranch Acres, Lortondale, Patrick Henry and the 1950s–70s ranches between 31st and 51st — is where we reseal and re-hang the most original aluminum. Maple Ridge, Swan Lake and Owen Park have older homes with box-style and half-round gutters that need a different touch. South Tulsa from 71st to 121st, east Tulsa along Mingo, and north Tulsa around Gilcrease are all standard territory. Gutter repair Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks homeowners call about is the same crew and price; see Broken Arrow and Jenks, and gutter repair Bixby OK families book from the same schedule.

Hail & Storm Damage →Questions we get asked
How fast can you repair a leaking gutter in Tulsa?
Usually within the week. Storm damage goes first: if a downspout is off and water is hitting the foundation, or a run is hanging after ice, say so when you call and we will get someone out to secure it the same day where we can, then finish the proper repair on the next visit.
Can hail-dented gutters be repaired instead of replaced?
Small dents on the back or bottom that do not affect flow can be left alone. Dents on the front lip that hold water, flattened downspouts and knocked-off end caps usually mean replacing that run, and if the roof is being replaced under a claim the gutters are normally replaced with it. We document both options for the adjuster.
Why does my gutter overflow when it is not clogged?
Three usual reasons here: the pitch is wrong so water pools instead of flowing; the downspout is too small for the roof area; or the gutter itself is undersized. All three are fixable without a full replacement, and we can tell which from a ladder in ten minutes.
Do you fix gutters on two-story homes?
Yes. Two-story work is priced a little higher for the ladder setup, usually 15–25% more than the same repair on one story. We use standoffs so the ladder rests on the roof edge, not on the gutter it is meant to be fixing.
