Seamless Gutters in Tulsa: What the Price per Foot Buys
Seamless aluminum gutters cost $9 to $15 a foot installed in Tulsa. That is a wide range for what sounds like one product, and it is why three quotes on the same house in Owasso can come back at $1,900, $2,400 and $2,950. The house did not change. What is in the gutter did.
The five things in the price
Gauge. Aluminum gutter coil comes in .027 and .032 inch thickness. Most crews carry .027 because it is cheaper and lighter on the machine. The .032 costs about a dollar a foot more, and it is the difference between a gutter that holds its shape under a January ice load and one that bows out and stays bowed. In Tulsa, where every gutter will carry ice at some point, .032 is the right answer. Ask which one is on the quote; if the salesperson does not know, that tells you something too.
Hangers. Spike-and-ferrule hangers are a long nail driven through the gutter into the fascia. They are fast and cheap, and they back out. Hidden hangers are a bracket that clips inside the gutter and screws through the fascia into the rafter tail. They cost more per hanger and take longer to set. The spacing matters as much as the type: every 24 inches is standard, 18 inches on long runs and north-facing runs where ice sits. A quote that says "hangers included" and nothing else is spikes at 36 inches.
Downspouts. A 2x3 downspout is the builder default. A 3x4 carries roughly twice the water for about $40 more per downspout. On a two-story home in Broken Arrow, the difference between one 2x3 at the end of a 60-foot run and two 3x4s is the difference between a gutter that works in May and one that overflows onto the patio. The count is in the price too; a cheap quote often has one downspout per side when the roof area needs two.
Corners. Every inside and outside corner is a mitered joint that has to be cut, fitted and sealed. A simple gable roof in Lortondale has four. A hip roof in Jenks with bump-outs and a porch can have fourteen. Corners are where gutters leak, so the sealant and the time spent on them is part of what you are paying for. Some crews price corners separately; most fold them into the per-foot rate, which is why a complicated roof costs more per foot than a plain one.
Fascia. The board the gutter hangs on. On a 1960s ranch it is often soft under one or two corners, and a new gutter cannot be hung on it. A good estimate checks it with a screwdriver from the ladder and prices the replacement per foot before the job. A cheap estimate finds it on install day and either hangs the gutter on rot or hands you a surprise.

Those are the gutters you are replacing at the bottom of the table, and they were installed the first time at the bottom of the table. Aluminum gutters Tulsa builders put on new houses in the 2000s were the $9 version; the fact that they lasted 20 years says more about aluminum than about the install.
A worked comparison
A single-story house in Bixby, 170 feet of gutter, six corners, four downspouts, one soft corner of fascia.
- Quote A, $1,650. .027, spikes, 2x3 downspouts, fascia not mentioned. About $9.70 a foot. The fascia gets found on the day.
- Quote B, $2,150. .032, hidden hangers at 24 inches, 3x4 downspouts, fascia repair as a separate line at $120. About $12 a foot plus fascia.
- Quote C, $2,550. Same as B with 6-inch on the back run and a fifth downspout added. About $14 a foot.
B is the right gutter for most Tulsa homes. C is right if the back run collects a big roof area and has overflowed before. A is the gutter you just took down.
What is not in the price and should be
Tear-off and haul-away of the old gutters — ask, because some quotes add it later. Downspout extensions to get water four feet from the foundation, which are $25–$80 each and should be included, not upsold. A water test before the crew leaves. A workmanship warranty in writing, separate from the manufacturer's finish warranty.
Copper, half-round and steel
Copper runs $35–$55 a foot and is a lifetime installation; a few of the restored homes in Maple Ridge have it. Half-round aluminum is $14–$20 and looks right on a 1920s bungalow where K-style does not. Galvanized steel is cheaper than aluminum by a little and rusts in 15–20 years; we do not recommend it here.
How to read the quote
Ask for gauge, hanger type and spacing, downspout size and count, corner count, fascia condition, haul-away, extensions and warranty, each as its own line.
